“We work hard to maintain a trauma informed approach in which reflective practice is key. We put time into learning together and sharing our triumphs and challenges… it’s difficult stuff but the trust we have in each other is enabling us to tackle it, our personal experiences of trauma, our triggers and most importantly be aware of our strengths/vulnerabilities and relate all of this to direct work with clients. Being able to make connections is so important isn’t it…. We are very lucky that the ethos at YWHP is brilliant – it encourages kindness, creativity and challenge and we have enough time given to be able to reflect and keep learning…”
