YWHP has been developing and delivering specialist gender-specific supported accommodation and therapeutic support for young women, girls and their children, affected by sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and domestic abuse in Sheffield for 38 years.

The housing-related and therapeutic support, are provided by qualified, trauma informed, practitioners who have considerable experience of delivering high quality effective services. Our teams have an excellent understanding of the specific needs of young women and young parents and are able to build the essential relationships required to engage those with complex and multifaceted support needs.

Since 2017 we have been developing and delivering our specialist trauma informed counselling and psychotherapist services. With the dual purpose of delivering therapy and underpinning the clinical knowledge of the housing specialist team, the therapy team is made up of qualified, trauma informed, multi-disciplined clinicians and both teams work closely together to identify the individual needs of each young woman and provide a tailored programme of wrap-around, holistic support.
